From the front door of the Hotel turn left. Opposite at number 5 Seaside road is an example of a gothic revival cottage.

Almost next door, is the interesting 1 Seaside road with its arched front elevation.

Directly opposite the Hotel is number 7 Seaside road a strange building that conflicts to some extent with the style of all other buildings in the area.

Looking right there are examples of largely unspoilt terraced cottages.

The village has a very rural feel and many of the central buildings used to be (or still are) farm houses and many still have very spacious grounds.

Next to the Hotel is number 2 Seaside road ( we are number 12 and in past times there were 4 terraced cottages between the two premises. At one point the cottage was occupied by the gardener to Wentworth House.

Walking past 2 Seaside road and across the road past 1 Seaside we are at the back of St Bartholomew's. Here we can appreciate more of the rural side to the village. The Hotel is in the Background.
